Thinking Styles Questionnaire
(Sternberg & Wagner, 1991)

 

 

This is a questionnaire about the different strategies and ways people use to solve problems, to carry out tasks or projects, and to make decisions.

Read each statement carefully and decide how well it describes you. Use the scale provided to indicate how well the statement fits the way you typically do things at school, at home, or on a job.

 

Check 1 if the statement does not fit you at all - that is, you almost never do things this way.

OR

Check 7 if the statement fits you extremely well, that is, you almost always do things this way.

OR

Check a value in between to indicate that the statement fits you in varying degrees.

To generate and accurate profile please use the full range of the scale to truly reflect how the items relate to you.

There are no right or wrong answers. Please read each statement. Check the number on the scale that best indicates how well the statement describes you.
